The Second Generation of Lace: Lin Shuzhen (64, right) and Lin Yinxue (60, left): "Age isn't a barrier; perseverance is key." The Lin sisters are the second generation of Tainan's Minglin Lace. Growing up surrounded by lace, they struggled to appreciate its beauty and at one point considered closing the shop. It wasn't until a friend reminded them that they were "raised by lace" that they decided to persevere, viewing it as a valuable cultural asset. They partnered with cultural and creative entrepreneurs like Lin Department Store to forge new paths, and bravely participated in exhibitions twice a year to help more people appreciate the beauty of lace culture.
